President
Steve aka Kapow
Steven served 7 years in the Canadian military, 4 of which were spent in recovery from mutiple repeated explosion encounters.
Sydney, Steven's Labrador was crucial in his healing and recovery. He founded Resurrection Rescue to help connect veterans and first responders to Christ and rescue dogs.
The rest of the team has come to the conclusion that Steve likes things that go boom maybe a little too much for his detonative personality.
Operations Manager / K9 Trainer
Nik aka Phantom
Nik is our primary trainer at Resurrection Rescue, she started training and handling dogs as part of a private protection dog program in 2009, her own Australian Shepherd breeding program in 2020, and training with Resurrection Rescue though Hartspulse K9 Training in 2026.
Nik has trained dogs in obedience, agility, dryland, dog sledding, scent work, aggitation, and service work. She also is involved in rescuing, training, first aid, and cleaning for the animals, advertsing, and website development for the rescue.
The rest of the team suspects Nik is not her real name because she hates an exposed idenity almost as much as she hates soldiers.
Secretary
Zoey aka Zoster Zoey
Zoey is a first responder with her local fire department, a wellness practitioner and the person most likely to remind everyone to drink water, stretch and regulate their nervous systems before making questionable decisions.
Unlike Inferno (the rescue's first puppy), Zoey really enjoys fires — which creates a slight conflict of interest since she's also supposed to put them out.
Somewhere between extinguishing fires, teaching emotional regulation and attempting to take notes for meetings she never seems to attend, she somehow became Secretary.
The rest of the team still isn't entirely sure what it is she does... but they all agreed she's the only one that can spell.
